Welcome to the Virginia Wesleyan residential community! The Office of Residence Life oversees the on campus living experience at Virginia Wesleyan University.
Five minutes: The magic number. That’s probably the longest it will take you to get to class from where you live on campus.
The residence halls at VWU are designed to offer a sense of community. We believe it is in the residence halls that students find opportunities for cultural, educational, social, and recreational enrichment. To further support these opportunities, two of the four villages are modeled after Thomas Jefferson’s Oxford-Cambridge plan. These two villages include classrooms, faculty offices, and student residences.
We encourage you to take advantage of the countless benefits to living on campus. These include meeting and getting to know your Resident Assistant (RA) and attending their activities and programs in the residence halls. Your RA can be a huge resource to you as you live on campus as well as our professional staff. We are all here for you!
The University maintains a residential requirement that requires most students to reside in recognized University housing facilities. Exceptions are granted to students who meet any of the following conditions:
An inclusive community grounded in the liberal arts and sciences and dedicated to scholarship, service, lifelong learning, and environmental stewardship, Virginia Wesleyan University inspires students to build meaningful lives through engagement in Coastal Virginia's dynamic metropolitan region, the nation, and the world.
